WEST HOLLYWOOD WELCOMES THE WORLD BACK TO EXPERIENCE ITS NEW LUXURY APPEAL

News

Early this week, the West Hollywood Travel and Tourism Board, also known as Visit West Hollywood, joined IPW in Orlando, FL to showcase all the legacy destination has to offer, with its new luxury appeal and diverse, buzzy spots. As the “heart of LA,” the city is celebrated for its walkability, sense of community, and proximity to the best that Southern California has to offer – beaches, museums, theme parks, and much more.

There has been a renaissance on the Sunset Strip, in particular. Known for its iconic nightlife, the area is still going strong with popular venues such as Whiskey a Go Go, The Roxy Theatre, The Viper Room, and The Comedy Store.

Now, new hotels and restaurants elevate the area even further. Among these are Pendry West Hollywood, its private social club The Britely, as well as Wolfgang Puck’s stylish rooftop restaurant, Merois, The West Hollywood EDITION, 1 Hotel West Hollywood, and Hotel Ziggy – altogether encompassing the “new luxury” of Los Angeles.

From today through August 27, West Hollywood invites the world to The Roller Rink at Summer on Sunset, a summer-long celebration under the stars with special offers from the thriving businesses on the Strip. Other summer events include the WeHo Pride LGBTQ Arts Festival (formerly known as the One City One Pride LGBTQ Arts Festival), taking place until Thursday, June 30 at various live locations throughout the city, along with selected online programming.

At IPW on June 7, Tom Kiely, President and CEO, and Jeffrey Morris, Chief Marketing Officer, led a press conference to offer unique insight into the fresh, ever-changing travel landscape in Southern California and debut an exciting giveaway. Attendees each have a chance to win a 2-night stay at the new Pendry West Hollywood, which lies at the heart of L.A.’s film, music, and cultural history. The winner will be selected on Monday, June 13.

“From culinary and cocktail innovations to wellness, music and design, many of the biggest trends in our culture get dreamed up right here in the creative heart of L.A. This is where you can experience the buzziest brands, styles and tastes—before the rest of the world even knows about them,” said Tom Kiely.

Raphael Francois, the trailblazing chef behind Tesse and new Academy Museum’s Fanny’s also joined the press conference as a special guest, sharing a few words on his role in cultivating a “foodie renaissance” in West Hollywood. He was one of the powerhouse personalities featured in West Hollywood’s newly released, exclusive content video series on the city.

The campaign features six successful and uncommon individuals, each representing the best of West Hollywood in dining, nightlife, design, music, fitness, and shopping. Designed to showcase the tastemakers  and creators who live, work and play in West Hollywood, the series is vital to furthering the board’s mission to re-establish the reputation the city’s always been known for: that of a vibrant, unique, energetic neighborhood continually at the forefront of progress and change. It captures the indefinable “vibe” visitors can expect to experience when they visit, as tourism begins to flourish again in the city following the pandemic.
