UNPLUG THIS AUTUMN AT LOIRE VALLEY LODGES
Loire Valley Lodges is more than a stay – it’s an invitation to experience autumn’s magic through sustainable gastronomy, wellness and the quiet beauty of France’s Valley of the Kings.

Just over one hour from Paris by train, this autumn, reconnect with nature at Loire Valley Lodges through mindful activities like yoga and tai chi classes set among the trees, forest bathing, cycling (complimentary bikes available), explore the vineyards during the vibrant wine harvest season or taste some of Loire’s finest reds and whites.

Back at the lodges, unwind in your private treehouse with panoramic forest views, soak in your outdoor hot tub, or enjoy a slow breakfast featuring fresh eggs, local honey and baked goods delivered on a charming pulley system. Though there isn’t an on-site spa, massages can also be easily arranged in-room, with the masseuse arriving by buggy and setting up outside on your balcony.

La Ferme
Guests can immerse themselves in the season’s natural rhythms at their unique organic farm, LaFerme. Nestled within 30 hectares of untouched meadows and hedgerows, LaFerme’s sustainable ecosystem offers a rich harvest of seasonal delights – from wild foraging in the surrounding forest to picking fresh truffles in the woods.

Guests can savour estate honey and farm-fresh produce, all cultivated under expert care using Jean-Martin Fortier’s living soil market gardening methods.

Destination
A modern hideaway in the heart of France’s ‘Valley of the Kings’, Loire Valley Lodges is a boutique treehouse hotel comprising 18 private lodges (all lodges are WiFi free, but you can find WiFi in the main house should you need), pool area, and main house with two restaurants set in 300 acres of Duporterie forest. Dreamed up by Parisian art-seller Anne-Caroline Frey, the hotel follows the principles of beauty, harmony and sustainability. It is the perfect destination from which to disconnect from the world and reconnect with nature.

Loire Valley Lodges combines art and nature: each lodge contains a collection of work from contemporary artists juxtaposed with breathtaking views of the forest. Just over one hour from Paris by train, the hotel offers a gourmet restaurant ‘Ardent’ (open year round) and sister restaurant ‘Asperatus‘.

Who for
Loire Valley Lodges is hopelessly romantic, but also serene, making it a perfect indulgent escape for solo travellers, friends seeking quality time, or creatives looking for inspiration. One for wine lovers – there are some superb reds and whites in the Loire.

The rooms
Inside the treehouse rooms, the vibe is discreet, natural luxury. It’s pared back – the view is the star of the show – but the bathroom, equipped with double sinks and a rain shower, comes with the fluffiest white towels and robes plus Leif and Aesop products, while the king-sized bed has luxury Egyptian cotton linen. On the huge 25sqm decking at the front is a dining table, lounge chairs and a private hot tub (with a bottle of Champagne chilling in the fridge nearby).

Everything has been designed to help guests relax and enjoy the natural surroundings to the fullest. The lodges are WiFi free and have no TVs; instead, they’re equipped with binoculars to help spot wildlife from the deck, a book about trees and a leather-bound notepad to encourage creative jottings.

Breakfast is served in-lodge: simply hoist up a hamper on a pulley (having been silently delivered by an electric golf buggy, preference sheet completed the eve prior), and enjoy a feast of eggs, salmon, bread, freshly baked croissant loaf, local honey and juice.
