Experience the newest theme park adventures

One of the biggest reasons to visit Orlando in 2026 is Universal Epic Universe, the city’s newest theme park. This highly anticipated destination features more than 50 attractions spread across five immersive lands: Celestial Park, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, and Dark Universe. It is one of the most significant theme park openings in recent years and a must-see for thrill seekers and families alike.

Universal Orlando is also bringing back Volcano Bay Nights on select evenings from May 3 through August 21. Guests can enjoy shorter ride wait times, live DJ entertainment, themed snacks, and DreamWorks character meet-and-greets in a festive tropical atmosphere.

At Magic Kingdom, families can enjoy Jessie’s Roundup: A Rip-Roarin’ Revue, a Toy Story-themed experience in Frontierland. Guests can also ride the reimagined Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, which now features upgraded handheld blasters, more interactive targets, and enhanced gameplay. Another major highlight is the reopening of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, which returns with updated scenes, refreshed track, and magical new storytelling moments.

At EPCOT, CommuniCore Hall transforms into GoofyCore, a playful party space featuring games, dance breaks, and family activities. Starting May 26, guests can also experience Soarin’ Across America, which returns with a new orchestral soundtrack celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios adds several exciting experiences this summer. A brand-new Millennium Falcon mission launches at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge on May 22, allowing riders to choose destinations and interact with Grogu during the adventure. On May 26, Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! premieres with music, dancing, and interactive fun for younger children. At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, younger visitors will love Bluey’s Wild World, opening May 26 at Conservation Station. Families can meet Bluey and Bingo, take part in games, and learn about animals native to Australia.

Those looking for nighttime fun can visit Disney H2O Glow After Hours at Typhoon Lagoon from June 2 through September 5, when the water park transforms into a glowing late-night celebration with music, lights, and special character appearances.

Visit SeaWorld Orlando and Aquatica

SeaWorld Orlando introduces Expedition Odyssey: Fire & Ice, an Arctic-themed attraction that combines immersive technology with real-life encounters featuring beluga whales and walruses. It is expected to be one of the park’s biggest draws of the season.

From July 4 through August 23, SeaWorld also hosts Bands, Brew & BBQ, where guests can enjoy live country and rock performances, barbecue favorites, and craft beer tastings throughout the park.

At Aquatica, AquaGlow returns from May 15 through September 26. This family-friendly nighttime event transforms the water park into a neon playground with glowing attractions, foam parties, and low wait times.

Try new attractions beyond the theme parks

Orlando’s entertainment scene extends far beyond the major parks. Blue Man Group returns on May 1 with a custom-built theater at ICON Park, bringing its signature blend of music, comedy, art, and audience participation back to the city.

Another exciting addition is The Great Big Game Show, an interactive attraction where guests become contestants in a TV-style competition featuring trivia, creative challenges, and fast-paced mini-games hosted live on stage.

Enjoy Orlando’s best summer festivals

Harry P. Leu Gardens celebrates its 65th anniversary through May 31 with Legacy in Bloom, an immersive seasonal experience that transforms the gardens into a living storybook filled with floral displays and themed landscapes.

From May 12 through May 25, the Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival returns for its 35th year. As the longest-running fringe festival in the United States, it features more than 1,000 performances spanning comedy, theatre, dance, and experimental art.

Later in May, Gatorland hosts its annual Gatorpalooza Weekend on May 30 and 31, featuring live music, local vendors, giveaways, and family entertainment included with regular park admission.

Music fans will find plenty to enjoy this summer at the Kia Center. Major artists scheduled to perform include Rosalía on June 8, Noah Kahan on June 11 and 12, A$AP Rocky on June 14, 5 Seconds of Summer on June 17, and Lionel Richie with Earth, Wind & Fire on July 25.
