The piece is part of the brand’s global “The Art of Pink” charitable program, which is supported by Peninsula hotels around the world as they partner with artists to help raise both funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer.

Amorós explains that the piece is inspired by a visit to Shanghai where she discovered the pink lotus flower. She always hoped she would get the opportunity to use this inspiration in her work and has celebrated its beauty through the use of LED lights that highlight The Peninsula New York’s landmark Beaux-Arts façade.
