TEA EXPERIENCES FOR THE SENSES AT THE RITZ-CARLTON, BERLIN.
The five-star superior hotel at Potsdamer Platz offers its guests an unparalleled Afternoon Tea: Two TeaMasters® trained in India introduce visitors to the mysterious world of tea in the Afternoon Tea, as well as special tea training.
There are 68 aromas from the French gourmet brand “Mariage Frères” to choose from, including such exquisite varieties such as the Lotus Blanc®, for which every tea leaf is laid in a lotus flower overnight by hand in order to absorb its aroma. The French teas from the brand “Mariage Frères” shall be offered in Germany exclusively at The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin.
Tea sommelier Sandra Rosenmüller and Burak Köseoglu prepare for their guests daily the special experience of an Afternoon Tea with exquisite British delicacies such as scones & clotted cream or little roastbeef burger from the kitchen of The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin. The luxury teas are presented in an attractive “sniff box” – this is how you find your favourite tea quickly and easily. Tea beginners will be personally advised by Sandra Rosenmüller and Burak Köseoglu: “We love to take a lot of time for our guests, especially for visitors who are with us for the first time. It is only with the perfect tea which suits the preference and also the mood of our guests that the Afternoon Tea becomes an unforgettable experience”, explains tea sommelier Sandra Rosenmüller. From Thursday to Sunday the live sounds of the piano accompany the daily tea ceremony, which underline the special and relaxing character of the Afternoon Tea.
The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin offers a special Ladies’ Tea every afternoon especially for female guests, at which ladies are also served a glass of Champagne or Kir Royal. An ideal place to relax after an extensive shopping trip or a stressful day at the office. The counterpart to this is the Gentlemen’s Tea with a glass of brandy to go with savoury delicacies and sweet temptations for the men.
On request, The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin organises exclusive tea training where the participants are taken on a culinary journey to Asia by the tea expert Sandra Rosenmüller. You will experience everything about the production and processing of the luxury teas, their exact preparation and take away one or more tips as to how you can spoil your own guests at home with a very personal tea ceremony. Delicacies suited to the aromas from China and India are of course provided for.
The Afternoon Tea takes place daily from 2.00pm to 6.00pm and costs 36.00 Euro per person. The Ladies’ Tea and the Gentlemen’s Tea each cost 42.00 Euro per person. Tea training can be booked on request for 49.00 Euro per person.
