SIX SENSES WELCOMES FRIENDS OF SIX SENSES, LIVE ON FACEBOOK
In usual circumstances, one would have to travel halfway around the world to meet these leading experts in their field. However, #AtHomeWithSixSenses has tossed the rulebook on its usual hospitality offering to help people stay healthy, curious and inspired from home.
Six Senses corporate, spas and individual resorts’ Facebook and Instagram accounts are ALIVE with content available to everyone, whether or not they have previously stayed at a Six Senses property, structured around the brand’s key wellness pillars: mindfulness, eat, sleep, move, live naturally and connect. From shamanic meditations to immune-boosting recipes, workouts and a 10-week Junior Marine Biology program, content is as rich as it is varied but always offered with a warm heart and virtual hug.
The latest addition to the offering, Friends of Six Senses, has been introduced to specifically address today’s reality. In this period of reflection, the idea is to help people open their minds to future growth and possibilities while providing practical tools to calm fears and imagine their world anew.
Sessions will take place each Sunday on Facebook Live @SixSensesSpas.
The first Friends of Six Senses meeting took place on April 12, 2020, when Six Senses Wellness Pioneer Anna Bjurstam invited Dr. Alberto Villoldo for a deep dive into shamanism, wellness and the power of dreaming. Dr. Villoldo is a best-selling author, medical anthropologist, teacher and founder of the Four Winds Society, which offers the world’s most respected training in Shamanic Energy Medicine.
The pair discussed how it is possible to craft a new destiny and shared two practices, one to reset the fight-flight-freeze response and a second to help dream a new world and write a new chapter for the future. Dr. Alberto will be joining Anna again in May to discuss his work on the groundbreaking Grow a New Body program, which was introduced into selected Six Senses resorts in 2019.
The program will continue throughout May, with Friends of Six Senses including: expert on human behavior and relationships Stan Tatkin; best-selling author Dani Shapiro; human, body and brain performance coach Ben Greenfield; and wildlife and literacy activist Boyd Varty.
