THE FORMER SIX SENSES DUXTON SINGAPORE IS NOW DUXTON RESERVE, AN AUTOGRAPH COLLECTION HOTEL

City Hotels, Hotels

Marriott has expanded its Autograph Collection to Singapore with the rebranding of one of the best boutique heritage hotels in the city.
Owned by The Garcha Group, the 49-room hotel opened in 2018 as the first Six Senses hotel in Singapore. Six Senses ceased management of the hotel on 31 May 2020, and now Marriott has officially added the property – rebranded as the Duxton Reserve Singapore – to the Autograph Collection.

Duxton Reserve Singapore was created within eight sustainably restored 19th-century shophouses. The hotel was designed by the renowned British interior designer, Anouska Hempel, and the designer’s romantic narrative borrows elements from Chinese, Malay and European cultures.

Guests are in for an eclectic, elegant surprise as they enter the hotel, where they will be greeted by large theatrical golden fans and strong hues of black, gold and yellow, layered with Oriental screens and calligraphy wallpaper from Anouska’s personal collection.

The hotel’s 49 guestrooms and suites have each been designed with unique individuality for an exclusive experience every time. Each room features an Naturalmat organic mattress, organic cotton bed linen by Beaumont & Brown and bathroom amenities by Etro.

The culinary highlight of the hotel is the modern Chinese restaurant, Yellow Pot, helmed by Chef Sebastian Goh. The restaurant follows the clean eating philosophy, with no MSG, additives or artificial flavourings added to the dishes.

Anouska’s, a glamourous bar, is an ode to Bond girl turned interior designer Anouska Hempel, serving up the actress’ favourite drinks from around the world spanning the disco era of the 70s and 80s.
