The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) proudly announced this year’s accolades, celebrating the region’s dynamic culinary talent that continues to shape and elevate the international dining scene. In total, Greater Miami received 16 Michelin Stars in the 2025 edition—including a noteworthy new addition and many returning icons. Most impressively, the globally renowned L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon retained its distinguished two-star status, reaffirming its place among the elite. Meanwhile, Itamae AO made a remarkable debut, earning its first Michelin Star and joining an esteemed list of restaurants that have consistently redefined the region’s gastronomic reputation.

“What’s happening in Miami’s kitchens today is nothing short of extraordinary,” said David Whitaker, President and CEO of the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau. “Culinary excellence has become one of the strongest drivers of tourism for our community, drawing visitors from around the world who come to experience our acclaimed restaurants and celebrated chefs. These Michelin honors are a powerful validation of our destination’s growing influence in the global culinary landscape.”

Beyond the traditional Michelin Stars, this year’s selections also reflect a heightened focus on sustainability—a growing priority for chefs and diners alike. Four Miami restaurants received Michelin Green Stars, which honor exceptional commitment to sustainable gastronomy. Krüs Kitchen and Los Félix retained their green accolades, while EntreNos and Stubborn Seed earned their first Green Star for their dedication to environmentally responsible practices such as sourcing locally, reducing waste, and supporting regenerative farming.

The 2025 edition also saw Miami chefs earn individual recognition across special award categories. Jacqueline Pirolo, wine director at Macchialina in Miami Beach, received the Michelin Sommelier Award, underscoring her outstanding contribution to the region’s fine wine culture. Meanwhile, rising culinary talent Juan Camilo Liscano of Palma was honored with the Michelin Young Chef Award, highlighting Miami’s role not just in dining excellence but also in nurturing the next generation of world-class chefs.

Value-conscious gourmands were also well served this year. Fourteen Miami restaurants maintained their Bib Gourmand status—Michelin’s designation for eateries offering exceptional meals at reasonable prices. These range from the laid-back charm of Chug’s Diner to the eclectic flavors of Phuc Yea, demonstrating the breadth and accessibility of Miami’s culinary offerings. Nine new restaurants also earned the coveted status of Michelin-Recommended, reflecting the ever-expanding quality and diversity of the local food scene.

As Michelin expands its guide across the Sunshine State, Greater Miami and Miami Beach continue to lead the way—not simply in quantity but in the depth and richness of their culinary artistry. From pristine seafood and farm-to-table innovation to elevated global cuisine with local character, Miami is a city where the plate tells the story of a destination alive with culture, creativity, and flavor.
