Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur is now open. Part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ luxury and lifestyle portfolio, the hotel rises as a striking new landmark above The Exchange TRX mall Kuala Lumpur’s buzzing lifestyle and business hub. The name Naluria itself is a poetic fusion of two Malay words: naluri (instinct) and ria (joy). Together, they form the guiding philosophy of the hotel: follow your instincts, and joy will follow.

A Brand Built on Human Connection

Founded in San Francisco in 1981, Kimpton has always stood apart in the luxury hotel landscape. More than elegant rooms and stylish lobbies, the brand is known for creating spaces that feel warm, expressive, and deeply connected to their surroundings. With Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur, that ethos finds a perfect home in a city celebrated for its cultural richness, culinary diversity, and creative energy.

From the moment guests arrive, the hotel feels alive with local stories — told through art, textures, flavours, and thoughtful details. Whether it’s an impromptu conversation over evening drinks or a quiet sunrise yoga session above the city skyline, every stay is designed to feel personal, intuitive, and memorable.

As General Manager Paul Cunningham explains, the opening represents far more than a geographic expansion:
“It’s a promise to deliver what we’re globally recognised for — unique properties with truly unique guest experiences to match. From inspiring spaces and distinct dining to the brand’s human hospitality, we look forward to creating immersive human-to-human connections that capture the very heart and soul of Kuala Lumpur.”

Design Inspired by Nature, Elevated by Art

Spanning 26 stories with 466 guestrooms and suites, Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur offers sweeping views of Kuala Lumpur’s most iconic landmarks, including Merdeka 118 and KL Tower. Inside, the award-winning design studio Hassell brings to life the concept of “Botanics Beyond Aesthetics.”

The narrative draws inspiration from Malaysia’s lush parklands and rainforests, translating natural forms into a contemporary, design-led environment. High ceilings, generous light, and abundant greenery welcome guests into the lobby, while earthy hues, forest greens, and organic textures flow seamlessly throughout the interiors.

Guestrooms strike a bold yet soothing balance: monolithic surfaces and sinuous forms sit alongside abstract rainforest-inspired artwork, vibrant tiles, leaf-shaped mirrors, and gilded bathroom fittings. Luxury bath amenities from ARgENTUM and Penhaligon’s elevate everyday rituals, while the minibar becomes a celebration of local flavour — stocked with Pandan Gula Melaka granola, salted egg yolk potato crisps, and Pasa Cola, a locally crafted spiced cola found only in Malaysia.

Dining as Destination

Food and drink are central to the Kimpton experience, and Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur is no exception, unveiling four distinctive dining and social venues destined to become favourites among locals and travelers alike.

Tuai + Till is a dual-concept venue where farm-to-table philosophy meets culinary creativity. By day, Tuai offers the warmth of a modern Malaysian café, while Till transitions into an elegant Western brasserie in the evening, showcasing fermentation-driven menus and seasonal ingredients.

High above the city, Four Siblings claims its place as both Malaysia’s first spice-themed bar and the only rooftop bar in TRX. Inspired by the historic spice trade and the four essential spices — cinnamon, clove, cardamom, and star anise — the bar bridges Malaysian and South American influences in inventive cocktails and panoramic views.

For coffee lovers on the go, Rise & Grind blends third-wave coffee craftsmanship with the soul of Malaysia’s beloved Kopitiam culture, featuring homegrown Liberica beans and expertly crafted espresso drinks.

Opening in early 2026, Sabato’s brings a playful twist to the dining scene as Malaysia’s first retro-inspired Italian-American restaurant, paying homage to 1970s disco nights and the classic “Red Sauce Joint” era — where comfort food, music, and nostalgia meet.

Signature Touches That Make It Personal

True to Kimpton tradition, the experience goes well beyond rooms and restaurants. Guests enjoy thoughtful perks that transform stays into stories: in-room yoga matscomplimentary bicycles for urban exploration, and the much-loved Kimpton Kickstart — a daily hosted morning energiser featuring Liberica cold brew, traditional teh tarik, and detox shots.

Evenings bring Kimpton Social, where guests gather over drinks and curated chef bites, creating space for genuine connections and spontaneous conversations. And for those moments when something is forgotten at home, the charmingly practical “Forgot It? We’ve Got It!” programme offers essentials from phone chargers to personal care items.

Wellness with a View

Wellbeing at Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur is designed to be immersive, not obligatory. The rooftop fitness terrace features TRX suspension training, a self-powered treadmill, and complimentary classes led by expert instructors — from pilates and HIIT to serene sunrise yoga sessions overlooking the city.

Even the minibar reflects the wellness philosophy, stocked with prebiotic beverages, protein bars, and healthy nut mixes, supporting mindful travel without sacrificing indulgence.

A Growing Global Footprint

Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur joins an expanding global family of Kimpton lifestyle hotels that debuted in 2025, including Frankfurt, Riyadh, Hainan, Algarve, and Hong Kong, with future destinations such as Kimpton Suntaya Bali Ubud set to open in 2026.

In Kuala Lumpur, however, the story feels uniquely local — shaped by tropical landscapes, spice routes, artistic expression, and a city that thrives on diversity and dynamism.

For travelers seeking more than just a place to sleep, Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur offers something rarer: a place to feel, to connect, and to follow instinct toward joy — exactly as its name promises.
