FAMOUS JAPANESE CHEF TAKAZAWA COMES AT MANDARIN ORIENTAL, TAIPEI

Mandarin Oriental, Taipei welcomes guest chef Yoshiaki Takazawa, mastermind and owner of the highly esteemed TAKAZAWA restaurant in Japan for an exclusive dining event from 7 to 9 May 2015 at the Chairman’s Residence located on the seventh floor. Artistic and skilled, Chef Takazawa will prepare aesthetically pleasing and scrumptious French cuisine with fresh seasonal ingredients.

From 7 to 9 May 2015, guests at Mandarin Oriental, Taipei can indulge in a nine-course meal designed by Chef Takazawa.

At Mandarin Oriental, Taipei, where an array of fine-dining options is continuously being offered, guests will be given the opportunity to indulge in a nine-course meal designed by Chef Takazawa. The tasteful dinner set menu with wine pairing is priced at EUR 344 per person. Dinner is offered from 7 to 9 May (Thursday to Saturday).

The six-course lunch menu with wine pairing, priced at EUR 209 per person, will only be available for one day on Saturday, 9 May.

Yoshiaki Takazawa is one of the most famous Japanese chefs. His restaurant was included in Tokyo’s 10 best high-end restaurants by The Guardian.

Known for serving exquisite dishes to only 10 guests a day, TAKAZAWA may be small in size, but its fame has travelled far. The restaurant was listed as one of the world’s top 10 life-changing restaurants by the respected Food & Wine magazine and one of Tokyo’s 10 best high-end restaurants by The Guardian. This year, TAKAZAWA was ranked No. 34 in the San Pellegrino Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants.

Chef Takazawa takes care of everything, from searching and selecting the ingredients, to preparing and cooking the food.

Chef Takazawa specialises in telling stories through his creative use of ingredients. Unlike most senior chefs, he takes care of the entire process single-handedly, from searching and selecting the ingredients, to preparing and cooking the food. While he manages the kitchen, his wife oversees dining service, together forming a strong partnership. Attention is paid to every detail, ensuring that every customer leaves with an unforgettable, flawless experience.

All menus offered at TAKAZAWA are designed by Chef Takazawa with the current season in mind. Only the freshest, in-season ingredients are used in his dishes, which offers a dash of the kaiseki cuisine spirit, coming Japanese culture with the art of French cuisine.
