This accolade follows a series of international recognitions garnered by ITC Grand Bharat within the first year of its opening. In May 2015 India’s largest luxury hotel chain, ITC Hotels, launched the ITC Grand Bharat, a destination retreat in the New Delhi Capital Region. Embodying ITC Hotels’ ethos of “Responsible Luxury,” the country’s first all-suite retreat features a mosaic of culinary, recreation and wellness experiences including South Asia’s first and only 27-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course and ITC’s internationally acclaimed indigenous spa brand, Kaya Kalp. The ITC Grand Bharat is ITC Hotels’ 11th Luxury Collection Hotel in affiliation with Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
Set amidst the ancient Aravali hills, the 300-acre estate is conveniently located 45 minutes from the capital city of New Delhi in Gurgaon. A manifestation of ITC’s philosophy to create hotels that are “rooted in the soil,” or reflective of the region in which they reside, the ITC Grand Bharat was built in tribute to the grandeur of India (Bharat is the Hindi name for India), with nationally-inspired architecture, interior design and warm Indian hospitality. Complimented by ITC’s bespoke services and commitment to world-class quality, the 100 luxury suites with semi-private pools and terraces, and four presidential villas are each catered to by ITC’s Hospitality Management Institute’s young managers in the making, as “Retreat Hosts,” facilitating bespoke experiences for resident guests.
