STAY REVIEW: GRAND HYATT BERLIN, A HOME AWAY FROM HOME
For me, the Grand Hyatt Berlin is more than just a luxury hotel—it’s a home away from home. Having stayed here three times now, I can confidently say that it offers everything needed for a seamless, comfortable, and tranquil stay. Whether you’re visiting for business, like I did during ITB Berlin 2025, or simply enjoying a getaway, this hotel provides a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere that feels familiar each time I arrive.

Ah, you’re back again,” said Hassan, the waiter at VOX Restaurant, when he saw me for breakfast during my stay last week at the Grand Hyatt Berlin. “I remember you; last summer you were here, right?” he added with a smile. “The usual?”

I was taken aback for a moment—how could he possibly know what my “usual” breakfast order was after six months and thousands of guests served in between? But then he continued, “Poached eggs with avocado, oatmeal, and a macchiato, right?” And just like that, I nodded, realizing that this was the perfect example of customer care at its finest. In a five-star hotel, it’s the small, personal touches like this that make all the difference and truly make you feel at home.

In fact, I can easily say that this is one of the best stays I have ever had, not only in Berlin but globally. The hotel exudes a sense of silent luxury, where simplicity and comfort meet in a way that is incredibly hard to define and even harder to find in other properties. It’s the type of place where I could easily return and spend a month without ever feeling bored. The balance of understated elegance and refined service creates an environment that feels both luxurious and homely—an exceptional combination.

Location: A Perfect Base in the Heart of Berlin
Situated at Potsdamer Platz, the Grand Hyatt Berlin is ideally located for both business and leisure. Being just a short walk from the Brandenburg Gate, Tiergarten, and the Holocaust Memorial, it is perfectly placed for those who want to explore the city’s rich history and vibrant culture. The hotel also offers convenient access to high-end shopping destinations like the KaDeWe and Charlottenburg, making it a top choice for travelers seeking both business and luxury.

Accommodations: Spacious and Luxurious Comfort
The rooms at the Grand Hyatt Berlin are a sanctuary of comfort. With 342 luxurious rooms and suites to choose from, there is an option to suit every need, whether for business or leisure.

My room was an impeccable blend of modern design and timeless elegance, offering a spacious retreat with thoughtful amenities like a large marble bathroom, minibar, and daily fresh fruits—everything you could ask for in a five-star property.

The Spa: A Wellness Paradise
The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the Club Olympus Spa & Fitness. With its serene and expansive facilities, this wellness haven is the perfect place to unwind after a busy day.

The spa offers both dry and wet saunas, a large swimming pool, and a variety of luxurious spa treatments. I love starting my mornings with a session at the gym, which is open 24/7, and then indulging in sauna sessions or spending some time in the whirlpool. The spa area offers breathtaking views over Berlin’s rooftops, and the tranquil atmosphere provided an ideal balance to the hectic ITB schedule.

Dining: Culinary Excellence
Another reason I love staying at the Grand Hyatt Berlin is the dining options available. The breakfast at VOX restaurant is always a standout, offering a delicious array of international and local options to suit all tastes. After a review following my previous stay, where I suggested that protein shakes could be a great addition to the breakfast menu, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the hotel had listened.

They now offer protein milk with 55% chocolate protein powder as a breakfast option—a perfect choice for those seeking a healthy boost in the morning. Additionally, the variety of healthy options has grown, with a great selection of nuts, honey harvested from the hotel’s own farm, always fresh eggs, vegetables, and more. The open kitchen concept adds a dynamic touch to the experience, allowing you to watch the chefs prepare dishes right before your eyes.

For a business lunch priced at just 19 Euros between 12-2 PM, the lobby restaurant is perfect. It’s not only convenient but also serves an excellent selection of dishes with a focus on fresh, high-quality ingredients. Whether you’re there for a quick bite or a more leisurely meal, the attentive staff and delicious food make every dining experience at the Grand Hyatt memorable.

Conclusion: A Luxurious and Relaxing Retreat
The Grand Hyatt Berlin continues to be my top choice when visiting the city. Whether it’s the tranquil spa, the excellent dining experiences, or simply the warm and welcoming atmosphere, I always feel at home here. As my third stay at this iconic property during ITB Berlin 2025, it reaffirmed why this hotel is my preferred destination in Berlin. The seamless combination of luxury, comfort, and impeccable service ensures that my stays here are always memorable.

If you’re visiting Berlin, whether for business or pleasure, I highly recommend the Grand Hyatt Berlin. With its ideal location, world-class amenities, and exceptional service, it’s the perfect base for any trip to Germany’s capital.
