flydubai expands to Bangkok with Double-Daily Flights
Bangkok has always been a city of rhythm. And now, beginning 15 September 2026, that rhythm will beat a little closer to the Gulf as flydubai launches double-daily flights to the Thai capital—deepening the ties between Dubai and one of Southeast Asia’s most magnetic destinations.

With the new service, flydubai will operate 28 weekly flights to Thailand, marking a significant expansion of its footprint in theLand of Smiles. For travelers across the GCC, Europe and beyond, Bangkok’s gilded temples, street food legends and sleek design hotels are about to become even more accessible.

A Second Gateway to Thailand
The new route will connect Dubai International Airport (DXB), departing from Terminal 3, with Don Mueang International Airport (DMK), one of two international airports serving Bangkok. Located just north of the city centre, Don Mueang offers swift access to downtown districts as well as onward connections across Thailand.
This addition makes Bangkok flydubai’s second destination in Thailand, complementing its existing services to Krabi—the limestone-cliff-framed coastal paradise beloved by beach seekers and divers alike. Together, the two gateways create a compelling itinerary: urban immersion in Bangkok followed by barefoot luxury in southern Thailand.
Beyond Thailand, Bangkok becomes flydubai’s fourth destination in Southeast Asia, joining Krabi as well as Langkawi and Penang in Malaysia. The expansion signals the airline’s growing ambition in a region where tropical landscapes meet dynamic economies.

Why Bangkok, Why Now?
Thailand has long ranked among the most popular long-haul destinations for travellers from the Middle East. For honeymooners, it promises candlelit dinners by the river and spa rituals scented with lemongrass. For families, it offers theme parks, aquariums and island adventures. For food lovers, it is nothing short of a pilgrimage.
Bangkok, in particular, thrives on contrast. Ornate spires of Wat Arun shimmer at sunset, while sleek shopping malls house global luxury brands. Street vendors flip pad thai in woks seasoned by decades of use, steps away from Michelin-starred dining rooms. Rooftop lounges overlook a skyline that seems to reinvent itself each year.
By introducing double-daily frequencies, flydubai is responding to sustained demand for both leisure and business travel. More flights mean greater flexibility—shorter layovers, smoother weekend escapes and more choice for corporate travellers navigating Southeast Asia’s thriving markets.

Seamless Connections via Dubai
One of the key advantages of the new service lies not only in the destination, but in the journey. Operating from Terminal 3 at Dubai International—one of the world’s most sophisticated aviation hubs—the flights are offered as part of flydubai’s codeshare partnership with Emirates.

For passengers, this translates into a streamlined travel experience: a single ticket, through-checked baggage and coordinated schedules across a combined network of more than 240 destinations worldwide. Whether departing from Riyadh, Rome or Manchester, travellers can connect through Dubai with minimal friction before continuing onward to Bangkok. It is a model that reinforces Dubai’s position as a global crossroads—where Europe, Asia and Africa converge in a matter of hours.

On Board: Elevated Comfort at 35,000 Feet
As flydubai continues to expand its network—now spanning more than 135 destinations—the airline has been investing in its onboard product to match its growing reach.
In Business Class, passengers can expect spacious seating, attentive service and a dining experience inspired by international flavours. For those travelling in Economy Class, ergonomically designed seats, curated meal options and a wide selection of in-flight entertainment ensure that the journey is as enjoyable as the arrival.
The double-daily Bangkok service will operate with convenient departure times designed to suit a variety of travel patterns. Late-night departures from Bangkok allow for full final days in the city, while morning and overnight options from Dubai cater to both business itineraries and leisure escapes.
