The previous Eat Drink Pink event in October 2018 raised THB 1,000,000 for the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer and culminated in a charitable raffle with memorable prizes, including stays at The Peninsula hotels worldwide.
This year The Peninsula Hotel has again supports the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer Foundation. Under the Royal Patronage of Her Majesty the Queen, the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer provides much-needed care and support to breast cancer patients from across the country. The Queen has described the centre as “a sanctuary for women in Thailand.” The Peninsula Bangkok is a long-time supporter of the Queen Sirikit Centre and its world-leading Pink Park Village initiative in Bangkok, which is the world’s first non-profit holistic care and diagnostic centre for breast cancer patients.
Pink Park Village provides comprehensive cancer care by an experienced team of doctors, nurses, psychologists, social workers, pharmacists and nutritionists. Its objective is to become a regional centre of excellence for cancer diagnosis using advanced imaging technologies, a cutting-edge laboratory and molecular results. These modern methods are expensive and complicated, and have thus far proved to be beyond the resources of any single institution in Thailand.
During the event, guests can enjoy the chance to not only support the fight against breast cancer, but also to win amazing prizes from a charity raffle that is part of the fundraising activities. The prizes include two business class (round-trip) from Bangkok to Tokyo by Cathay Pacific Airlines, two business class (round-trip) air tickets from Bangkok to Manila by Philippines Airline, sponsorship from Turkish Airline and great stay experience at The Peninsula hotels around the world for example a three-night stay at The Peninsula New York, a three-night stay at The Peninsula Beijing and a three-night stay at The Peninsula Hong Kong along with amazing prizes from sponsors. Raffle tickets are THB 150 per ticket, with all proceeds from ticket sales being donated.
