CHAMPAGNE AND DIAMONDS ON TOP OF THE GHERKIN
With Christmas just around the corner, it’s time to turn our attentions to all things sparkly. This year, nestled in the clouds, the top floors of the Gherkin will be transformed into a twinkling Christmas extravaganza – think snowflakes, glittering decorations, plenty of champagne, and REAL diamonds.
The kaleidoscopic architectural landmark The Gherkin is the hottest destination this December; guests can experience chilly London from one of the cities highest points while nestled in a winter wonderland drinking the finest champagne and enjoying a glamorously festive diamond inspired Afternoon Tea.
Searcys the Gherkin will be hosting three decadent Afternoon Teas, where during each sitting, every guest has a ‘diamond’ in their champagne flute. While most will be of the faux variety, for one lucky guest, Christmas will come early and their rock will be the real deal.
As well as their usual team of champagne specialists, Searcys will be joined by a diamond expert this year, thus further solidifying their reputation as connoisseurs in everything that sparkles.
However, one might argue that everyone’s a winner with the afternoon tea’s selection of hand crafted cakes and pastries delicately dusted with soft shimmer – cheese cakes, macaroons, traditional mince pies and a mouth-watering array of finger sandwiches – well it is Christmas.
As well as the three hosted Afternoon Teas, the Diamond in the Sky installation will be running throughout December, and will be welcoming the public, as well as their members who have access to these exclusive floors. Lunch and dinner in the soaring heights of the 39th floor and 40th floor ensure a stunning Christmas celebration.
New Year’s Eve
And for the most unforgettable night of the year, Searcys is also hosting New Year’s Eve. With panoramic views of London, guests can enjoy the expertise of Searcys’ champagne connoisseurs at their disposal with a special rare wine accompanied menu.
