CASA COOK OPENS IN KOS. THIS IS THE SECOND LIFESTYLE HOTEL BY THOMAS COOK!
Casa Cook, the second of Thomas Cook’s new breed of lifestyle hotels has opened on the Greek island of Kos. The first one is located in Rhodos.
Picture this: a long, untouched stretch of golden-sand coast, lapped by the bluest of the Aegean waters. Windswept dunes rise gently and gradually merge with a vast stretch of countryside. Tucked in between all this eye-popping nature: your perfect hideaway with the laid-back vibe you’ll only find at Casa Cook.
To set the scene for your summer escape, the rooms are little enclaves grouped around courtyards and gardens. The cubic, one- and two-storey buildings are contemporary and minimalist, derived from a centuries-old Greek architectural style.
The rooms allow you to kick back in style and comfort, with large terraces extending into your private outdoor space. Whether you’re a couple or come with friends and family, you’ll find that the hotel’s village-like plan is designed for the perfect balance between private and shared.
Deeply inspired by the Greek parea – a gathering of friends – the open-plan beach club invites you to create your own summer stories. It’s our community hangout, for like-minded people to connect and live up life together. At the barbecues, farm-to-table feasts, or just chilling out to cool beats – drink in hand, and toes dipped in the pool. Because the moments you’ll remember are those you shared with old friends and new ones you’ve made along your journey.
Located in Marmari, 13 miles from the airport and 15 miles from Kos Town, 100-room Casa Cook Kos is described by the operator as a “beachfront hideaway” “with the modern lifestyle traveller in mind”.
Designed to look like a village, Thomas Cook says the hotel creates a sense of community. Rooms range from doubles with terraces or verandas to two-bedroom villa suites with private pool and gardens. It follows Casa Cook Rhodes, which opened last year.
The new hotel has the first Casa Cook Spa and the first Beach Club with a culinary concept introduced by Thomas Cook, developed with Michelin-starred chef and restaurateur Ettore Botrini.
Called To Kima (which translates as ‘the Wave’) the restaurant is inspired by the ancient Greek idea ‘parea’, which means the celebration of people coming together, and has a “farm-to-table” concept. It also has a gym, yoga terrace, juice bar, access to paddleboards and bodyboards and a motor boat for daytrips along the coast and to neighbouring islands.
Packages start from £1,059 per person based on two adults sharing on a half-board basis.
