BANYAN TREE HOTELS UNVEILS DHAWA BRAND
The award-winning hospitality group, Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts, has announced on its 21st anniversary, the launch of an exciting new brand: Dhawa.

This exciting new brand will cater to an emerging group of design-savvy travelers who seek distinctive experiences in stylish, unique destinations.

Dhawa offers five exciting touch points that ensure a fabulous stay. Designed with local flair and convenience in mind, the comfortable rooms are dubbed Cocoons. Work and relax from the warmth of a linen duvet with a 300-thread count coupled with oversized pillows, and a moveable table with inbuilt power outlets perfect for surfing the internet or ordering in-room dining. The bathroom, known as the Pod, is equipped with a therapeutic rain shower, LED mood lighting, spa-branded amenities and Bluetooth music speakers.
There will be a communal space on each floor of the hotel, called the Nest, which offers complimentary refreshments including hot beverages, sodas, local snacks and ice cream. Void is located in the eclectically-designed lobby and provides relaxation pods for your comfort, while the all-day restaurant and bar, Nook provides a wide range of favorites for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Discover more with other facilities such as spa, a fitness center and Kids Club. With neon lights, pop operatic music and surprise daily boosters, guests will be in for a full sensory experience.
Dhawa Bo’ao, China
Dhawa will open its first hotel in Bo’ao, an eastern coastal town on Hainan Island in China, in March 2016. Well-known as a popular destination for international forums and leisure travel, Bo’ao boasts tourist attractions including the Jade Belt Beach and Wan Quan River.

With 307 keys, Dhawa Bo’ao will be the first hotel in Bo’ao offering a quality spa and hot spring facilities, with over half of its guest rooms facing the sea. The hotel will have two restaurants, a fitness center, swimming pool and extensive meeting facilities.
Dhawa Cayo Las Brujas, Cuba
Dhawa Cayo Las Brujas will open in Cuba in July 2016. It will be the first property in the region for Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts. Famed for vast acres of coral reef, rich underwater fauna and botanical wildlife, Las Brujas is a popular attraction for marine enthusiasts. With 516 keys over three floors, the hotel will have three restaurants, a swimming pool, gym, kids club, water sports center and unique meeting facilities.
These two new hotels will be followed by openings in Pu’er, Leishan and Luo Yang, in China; as well as hotels in Bangkok and Phuket in Thailand. Dhawa is part of a strategic global expansion for the Banyan Tree Group which plans to grow to 66 hotels and resorts, 117 spas and 115 galleries across 33 countries by 2019.

Dhawa takes its name, philosophy and design from the Dhawa tree (Anogeissus latifolia) in East India. A new offering to the Group, Dhawa sits alongside sister brands Banyan Tree, Angsana and Cassia.
