AZERAI LA RESIDENCE, HUE- A NEW CHAPTER IN VIETNAM’S HOSPITALITY SCENE
Nestled on the tranquil banks of the enchanting Perfume River, Azerai La Residence, Hue, has officially opened its doors, marking a vibrant addition to Adrian Zecha’s burgeoning hospitality brand.
Azerai La Residence, Hue has 122-rooms, is steeped in history and represents a celebration of elegance and simplicity, reflecting the beauty of its surroundings in Vietnam’s former imperial capital.
Following an extensive renovation, Azerai La Residence, Hue’s west wing has been beautifully transformed, with all 73 superior and deluxe rooms receiving a thoughtful redesign that embodies Azerai’s commitment to understated sophistication. Each room now offers a serene atmosphere, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring Hue’s rich heritage.
Azerai La Residence, Rue‘s wellness offerings have also received a significant upgrade. The newly renovated spa features six luxurious treatment rooms, complete with private dressing areas and showers. Guests can indulge in a range of therapies inspired by both Eastern and Western traditions, while the dedicated wet areas provide a rejuvenating steam, sauna, and ice fountain experience.
Fitness enthusiasts will appreciate the newly relocated gym, now conveniently situated beside the spa on the ground floor, equipped with the latest cardio machines, free weights, and wellness resources to keep you active during your stay.
Dining at Azerai La Residence, Hue is a treat for the senses. The charming bar, Le Gouverneur, has been relocated to a cozier space within the hotel, while the restaurant, Le Parfum, has been refreshed to align with Azerai’s signature aesthetic, offering a menu that celebrates the flavors of Vietnam.
Azerai is no stranger to innovation, having debuted its first property, Azerai Can Tho, along the Mekong River just last spring. With plans to unveil a new hotel each year, Zecha’s vision is clear: to deliver unforgettable, elegant experiences at accessible price points. “In Hue, we sought to create the quintessential hospitality experience, one that resonates deeply with both guests and the locale,” he shares.
This latest venture breathes new life into La Residence, a beloved landmark that has welcomed guests since 2005. Originally a grand mansion dating back to the 1930s, it has long been a fixture of Hue’s hospitality landscape, and with Zecha at the helm, it promises to elevate its legacy even further.
With renovations to the hotel’s east wing set to be completed next spring, bringing an additional 39 refreshed rooms, Azerai La Residence, Hue is poised to become a must-visit destination for travelers seeking both comfort and culture in Southeast Asia.
Embodying the essence of its name—derived from Zecha’s initials and the Persian word for caravanserai, signifying a haven for travelers—Azerai invites you to experience its unique blend of elegance, attentive service, and rich cultural context. Here, amidst the echoes of imperial history and the allure of modern luxury, your perfect Vietnamese getaway awaits.
