flydubai TO LAUNCH DOUBLE DAILY FLIGHTS TO BANGKOK
flydubai has announced plans to launch a double daily service to the Thai capital Bangkok later in the year. The service, scheduled to begin on November 29, will be one of the airline’s longest in terms of travel time and surely push the limits of its Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
flydubai existing service to Bangkok takes around six hours and 30 minutes from Dubai and just over six hours for the return journey from Bangkok.
“Bangkok is an extremely popular destination and the launch of double daily flights reflects the increasing maturity of the flydubai network and operation. This route launch is an important milestone for flydubai, offering business and leisure travellers from both Dubai and Bangkok increased choice and flexibility across our network,” said flydubai chief executive Ghaith Al Ghaith.
Flight FZ521 will depart from Dubai at 16:20 and arrive in Bangkok at 01:25, while Fz522 will leave the Thai capital at 02:35 and arrive back at 06:55.
The second service FZ525 will depart at 01:40 and arrive at 10:50. FZ524 will then depart Bangkok at 12:10 and arrive back in Dubai at 16:30.
Fares on the route will start from EUR 367 for economy class passengers and EUR 979 for business class.
Flydubai said it expected the route to give passengers alternative travel options to neighbouring cities and provide a connection between Thailand, Russia and Europe. Flydubai currently serves a network of 85 destinations with a fleet of 50 Boeing 737-800s and plans to take delivery of more than 100 aircraft by the end of 2023.
